About HarrisFCS

Built from hands-on IT. Run like a business.

HarrisFCS is a family-owned IT company founded in 2019 and based in Oregon. We help small organizations manage technology, improve security, and turn compliance requirements into practical operating controls.

Why the company exists

Small businesses deserve better than reactive computer repair and generic security bundles.

HarrisFCS grew out of a family background in small-business IT. The technical work came first. The company that exists today was built by progressively formalizing that experience into managed services, cybersecurity, project delivery, and compliance support.

That history matters because our bias is operational. We care about whether a control is actually implemented, whether a system is supportable, and whether a recommendation makes sense for the size and risk of the organization.

How we work

Practical, direct, accountable.

  • Security is considered from the beginning, not bolted on later.
  • Projects are scoped separately from recurring management.
  • Compliance work includes implementation, not just documentation.
  • We recommend what the environment needs, not what creates the largest software stack.
  • Clients have direct access to the people responsible for the work.
The operating philosophy

Technology should become boring in the right ways.

The goal is not to make IT impressive. The goal is to make the business less fragile.

Manage what exists

Know the devices, users, systems, patches, backups, and support needs already inside the business.

Secure what matters

Apply stronger controls where data sensitivity, business impact, or regulatory obligations justify them.

Govern the environment

Document responsibilities, review changes, and make sure the written rules continue to match reality.

A good fit

We work best with organizations that want ownership, not excuses.

HarrisFCS is a strong fit when the business wants one accountable partner to help manage the environment and is willing to make reasonable changes when risk or reliability requires them.
